The Roland GX-300/400/500 models uses Serial or USB communication.
First we need to check that the settings in the plotter is correct, to do this we need to check the menu.
Read in the plotter manual on how to navigate through the system. Change these menu values:
1. ROTATE = 0 deg
2. AUTOCUT COMMAND = ENABLE (if you want to be able to cut off after cut, inside SignCut-X2)
3. I/O = AUTO
4. VS COMMAND = ENABLE
5. !FS COMMAND = ENABLE
So, now the plotter is correctly setup.
To Setup SignCut-X2 properly for Windows, do the following:

4. Select "Roland DG" as Manufacturer.
5. Select "Roland GX-300", "Roland GX-400" or "Roland GX-500" in the Cutter list.
6. Choose the correct printer-driver in the Device list.
