The SignCut-X2 PE Subscription mode only requires two things in order to work properly:
* A licensenumber, either received by downloading the free-trial, or from a dealer or bundled with a plotter.
* A working internet connection. It can be any kind of connection from dialup to wlan.
To activate your SignCut-X2 PE Subscription, just download and install SignCut-X2, then during the first startup, enter or paste your licensenumber in the dialogue. If you are aware of that you need to have a proxy setup, then click on the Proxy button and enter your needed settings there, then close it. (Note, Only setup a proxy if your webbrowser uses a proxy to reach internet, you should enter the same settings here)
Now click Next to continue. When the guide is finished you will be ready to use SignCut-X2 PE.
If you get a dialogue telling you about SignCut-X2 Test-mode, then SignCut-X2 didn't get access to the Internet properly, make sure your internet connection works and the proxy-settings (if used) is correctly entered. Also make sure no software such as Antivirus / Firewalls are blocking SignCut-X2 from accessing the Internet. Now close SignCut-X2 and restart it and see if it works now.
Some important things to know:
1. When SignCut-X2 is running in PE-Mode, the option "Activate SignCut-X2 PE" in the help-menu is removed, and then the only option is "Activate SignCut-X2 LE" which you should not activate in this case.
2. The titlebar of SignCut-X2 always shows which version it runs, so it could say either "SignCut-X2 PE", "SignCut-X2 LE" or "SignCut-X2 Test-mode".
3. With the version 2.16 and higher of SignCut-X2, it will always try to reactivate SignCut-X2 at every startup, if it is running in SignCut-X2 Test-mode. No need to perform a manual activation.
4. If the subscription has expired, you will be directed to a purchase website automatically, once payment for a new subscription has been made, SignCut-X2 PE will continue to work again. Usually it is better to purchase the subscription before it expires to avoid production stops.
5. You can at any time, purchase more subscription period, the period will be added to your existing period.
6. You are allowed to transfer a license to a new computer five (5) times during a subscription period. Once you purchase a new subscription period, this counter will be reset.
7. If you intend to use SignCut-X2 on more computers, you can download the trial-version and use the same e-mailaddress as you used previously, you will then get a new license with an empty subscription period which you need to purchase in order to use it.
8. There is an automatic script which will send you reminders when the subscription period is close to expire, and when it has expired. When downloading the trial-period, the license is only active for 1-week and therefore you will receive such a reminder almost directly after applying for the trial.
9. The subscription will survive around two weeks of lost internetconnection before entering the test-mode (So you can use the subscription mode when working out of the office). Once the test-mode has entered, you just need to get internetaccess again and restart the program to reactivate it.
10. If you experience problem with the activation, please check everything possible in your environment before contacting us for help. We know from experience that this system works very well, and it has been tested in all kinds of strange environments, such as special proxy-setups and complex subnets structures.
If possible also try on another computer in your network to nail down the reason for your problem.
