Export from Illustrator

To Export from Illustrator CS , CS2 and CS3, just choose "Send to SignCut-X2" in order to send the active document.

If SignCut-X2 was closed, it will open and load the image directly. If it was already open, it will just get focus, click "Import" to load the image.

Note1: There is no need to convert text to outlines when using this export-plugin.

Note2: On Mac OS X, SignCut X2 will not open and load the image automatically, instead you need to click "Import" to open it.  This Plugin is only supported in Illustrator CS2 on Mac.

For manual export, save the file as AI and make sure to uncheck the "Compression" option and also convert text to outlines. Also if using outline thickness, you must convert the thickness to outlines/paths. To see what the image really looks like in Illustrator, change the viewmode to outlines.
